Kailash Chandra
Director of Indic Aranya

Dr. Kailash Chandra has over 31 years of experience serving in the Zoological Survey of India under the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change, Government of India. He served as the Director of ZSI from 2016 to 2021, overseeing the academic and administrative operations of the organization's headquarters in Kolkata and its sixteen Regional Centers. With 1138 employees, including hundreds of including researchers. He published 82 books, six proceedings and abstract books, 230 scientific papers in SCI journals, 297 research papers in national and international journals, 340 book chapters and 37 abstracts in different groups of animals.
